This morning, I want to offer an adaptation of a beautiful meditation found in Thank You Universe: A Powerful Morning Prayer of Gratitude, Alignment and Receiving—Joe Dispenza, a fan-made meditation shared by Vibrant Life Fan Made Meditations (2025).
The themes of gratitude, trust, surrender, worthiness, unseen support, and connection resonated deeply with what I have the honor of witnessing both in my work as a trauma therapist and while sitting alongside individuals during psilocybin experiences as a psilocybin facilitator. In particular, the beautiful image of “invisible hands” stayed with me.
What follows is a meditation adapted and expanded from those themes, as well as from reflections on the healing possibility of trusting that we are not alone—and that even the experiences we would never have chosen can become part of what shapes who we are and who we are becoming.
There is much more I hope to say about this subject, and perhaps I will return to it another day. But for this morning, I simply want to share this meditation as an invitation to gratitude, trust, and connection as we each navigate the day ahead.
I hope yours unfolds into exactly what you need and want.
Morning Prayer of Gratitude, Trust & Surrender
Thank you for this morning.
Thank you for the breath in my lungs, the beating of my heart, and this body that continues to carry me.
Before I ask for anything, I give thanks.
Thank you for what I understand and for what I do not yet understand. Thank you for the doors that opened and the doors that closed. Thank you for the moments of joy, and even for the losses and heartbreaks that revealed what I needed to know and helped shape who I am becoming.
Thank you for reminding me that I am not behind. I am not too late. Nothing truly meant for me has passed me by.
I release the belief that I must work harder to deserve, prove my value to belong, or perform to be loved.
I am worthy now.
My existence is enough.
My breath is enough.
I am enough.
Thank you for the dreams and desires placed within me. Help me honor them without grasping for them. Let me recognize guidance in the quiet nudges, the unexpected people, the synchronicities, and the moments that arrive with a timing I could never have arranged myself.
And thank you for the invisible hands holding me up—for all that supports me that I cannot see, for the love surrounding me, and for the unseen movement of life beyond my awareness.
When I cannot see the way forward, help me remember that not seeing is not the same as nothing happening.
May I trust what is still unfolding.
Today I release my need to control the timing. I release my need to know exactly what happens next. I release the exhausting belief that I must figure everything out by myself.
I stop rushing.
I stop doubting.
I stop questioning every step.
Instead,
I breathe deeper.
I soften my heart.
I open my hands.
I allow.
I receive.
Help me meet this day from gratitude rather than fear, from trust rather than striving, and from openness rather than urgency.
When uncertainty comes, bring me back to this moment.
When doubt comes, bring me back to what I know.
When I become afraid that life has forgotten me, remind me of every time I was carried through something I once believed I could not survive.
Thank you for the people who stayed and the people who left. Thank you for what each taught me—about love, boundaries, courage, forgiveness, discernment, and myself.
Thank you for every redirection that eventually became a new beginning.
I trust that I do not have to force what belongs in my life.
May I participate fully in my own becoming while surrendering what is beyond my control.
Let me walk through today awake enough to notice what is already here: the ordinary beauty, the unexpected kindness, the quiet guidance, the next right step.
And when I cannot see the whole path, give me the courage to take that one step.
I am here.
I am supported.
I am worthy.
I am becoming.
And whatever this day brings, help me remember that my life does not need to be perfect for this moment to be sacred.
For what has been,
for what is here now,
and for what is already making its way toward me—
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
As always, thank you for reading. I look forward to connecting through your writing and mine.
